Supports HEIC, JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, GIF · Up to 50 files · 50MB max
Convert any image to JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, GIF, or BMP — and back — directly in your browser. Up to 50 files per batch, mixed input formats supported, downloaded individually or as a single ZIP. Each format has a different sweet spot: JPEG is universal but lossy; PNG is lossless and supports transparency but produces large photographs; WebP and AVIF combine modern lossy compression with full transparency and are 25% to 50% smaller than the JPEG/PNG equivalent at the same perceived quality; TIFF is preferred for archival; GIF remains useful only for short looping animations and exotic legacy palettes.
Convert legacy photos to WebP or AVIF when publishing to a modern website — both formats have ≥97% global browser support today and produce dramatically smaller payloads than JPEG. Convert to PNG when you need transparent backgrounds, lossless graphics, or compatibility with tools that don't accept WebP. Convert to JPEG only when the destination requires it (some print labs, ancient CMSes). Avoid converting between lossy formats repeatedly — every JPEG-to-WebP-to-JPEG round trip costs visible quality.
Drop your source images
Add up to 50 files. The converter detects each input format automatically — you don't need to select it.
Pick the output format
Choose from JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, GIF, or BMP. WebP is the best general-purpose choice for the web in 2026.
Set quality (lossy formats only)
For JPEG, WebP, and AVIF, set quality between 75 and 90. PNG and TIFF are lossless and ignore the quality slider.
Download converted files
Each file shows the size before and after. Download individually, or use 'Download all as ZIP' to grab the entire batch.
Your images are processed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to any server. Once you close the tab, all data is gone. No tracking, no storage, no cookies for your files.
AVIF typically provides the smallest files, followed by WebP. Both offer significantly better compression than JPEG while maintaining excellent quality.
Yes. Upload up to 50 images and convert them all to the same format in one batch.
JPEG is lossy and does not support transparency. At quality 90+ the visible loss is minimal, but transparent areas will be filled with white. Consider WebP if you need lossy compression with transparency.
EXIF metadata is preserved when both source and destination support it (JPEG, TIFF, WebP). PNG and modern formats may not carry every EXIF tag. ICC color profiles are preserved for JPEG and PNG.
Yes. HEIC and HEIF inputs are decoded automatically. For HEIC-specific guidance, the dedicated HEIC to JPG tool has additional iPhone-friendly defaults.
